Privacy policy
This policy covers this website. It does not describe how a customer's own Metrolo deployment handles their members' data — that is governed by the agreement between us and each customer, and by that organisation's own policy.

Who we are
Metrolo operates this website. For personal data collected here, we are the data controller. You can reach us at hello@metrolo.com.
What we collect, and why
When you request a demo or contact us
We collect the name, work email address, organisation and any role, approximate member count and message you choose to give us. We use it to reply, to prepare a demonstration relevant to your organisation, and to keep a record of the conversation. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to an enquiry you initiated.
When you subscribe to updates
We store the email address you give us and the fact that you subscribed. We use it to send occasional writing about running a member community. The lawful basis is your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link in any message we send.
When you simply read the site
We do not use advertising cookies, third-party analytics or tracking pixels on this site. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs containing IP addresses and request details for security and diagnostics.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of processors to run this site: a hosting provider, a database provider (Supabase) and an email provider. They process data only on our instructions and under contract. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with advertisers.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries and demo requests: up to 24 months after our last contact, then deleted.
- Subscribers: until you unsubscribe, plus a suppression record so we do not email you again by mistake.
- Server logs: as retained by our hosting provider, typically a matter of weeks.
Your rights
If you are in the UK or EEA you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to our processing of it, and to receive it in a portable form. Email hello@metrolo.com and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our response you may complain to your national supervisory authority; in the UK that is the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Security
Data is transmitted over TLS and stored with access limited to the people who need it. If you believe you have found a vulnerability, please see our responsible disclosure policy.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page. If the change is material we will say so rather than relying on you to notice.
