A donation is worth more when you can see it in context — that this donor is a lapsed member, or came to the dinner, or gave to the last appeal too. Because fundraising shares a database with everything else, that context is a query rather than a project.
Campaigns with a visible target
A goal, a meter, and a total that moves as gifts are approved rather than as they are promised. Progress is one of the few genuinely reliable levers in fundraising, and it only works if the number on screen is one people can trust.
Anonymous giving, properly done
A donor can give without their name appearing on the contributor list, and your team still knows who they are for acknowledgement and reconciliation. Anonymity is a display choice, not a hole in your records.
An updates feed for the people who gave
Campaigns carry their own updates — the bursary awarded, the building opened, the target passed. This is the difference between a donor who gives once and a donor who gives again, and it is the thing most likely to be skipped when it lives in a separate tool.

Can we run more than one campaign at a time?
Yes, each with its own goal, page, updates and contributor list.
Can non-members donate?
Yes. Campaign pages can be public, which is usually the point — parents, partner organisations and friends of the institution give too.
Does Metrolo take a cut?
No. What your payment provider charges is between you and them; Metrolo records the gross and the net so your accounts reconcile.
Can we handle Gift Aid?
Declarations can be captured as a custom field on the donation today. A dedicated claim workflow is not built — ask us where it sits if it matters to you.
