Committee elections with real ballot secrecy
An election your members do not trust is worse than a show of hands. Ballot secrecy is a property of how the data is stored, not a screen that says your vote is anonymous — so it was designed before the schema was written, which is the only time it can be.
Voter rolls from data you already hold
Eligibility is drawn from groups and membership status rather than a list someone maintains separately — members in good standing, or a particular chapter, or those who joined before a cut-off. The roll is fixed when the election opens so it cannot drift mid-vote.
Secrecy separated from the audit trail
The system must know that you voted, so nobody votes twice; it must not be able to reconstruct what you chose. Those are two different records, and keeping them apart is the entire design problem. It cannot be retrofitted after launch, which is why it was settled first.
Phases, not a single form
Nomination, then voting, then results — each with its own window and its own visibility. Candidates put themselves forward and are seconded within the system, so the process leaves a record instead of living in an email thread.
Results, when you choose
Counting is immediate; publication is a decision. Most constitutions require an announcement at a meeting, so results are held until someone with the grant releases them.

Can we run several elections at once?
Yes — separate positions with separate rolls, running in parallel or in sequence.
Can a member verify their own vote was counted?
They can verify that they voted. Verifying the content of a specific ballot would defeat secrecy, which is the property most members care about.
What about postal or in-person votes?
Those are recorded by an administrator against the roll, so a hybrid AGM still produces one count.
