A jobs board built on referrals, not scraping
The value of an alumni jobs board is not volume. It is that the person posting the role knows the person applying — or at least shares an institution with them. Metrolo's board is designed around that: members post roles from their own companies.
Split-pane browsing
The list stays on screen while a role opens beside it, so someone scanning twenty postings never loses their place. Filters for location, function, seniority and company, with the filter state in the URL so a search can be shared.
Company records that get reused
A company is a record, not a text field retyped on every posting. Three roles at the same employer share one logo, one description and one link — and a member browsing can see everything currently open there.
Apply where the role actually lives
Most roles already have an applicant tracking system behind them. Postings link out to it, and can carry an attached description for the ones that do not. Metrolo does not pretend to be an ATS.
Ownership and expiry
Whoever posted a role can always edit or close it, without holding the board-wide permission. Postings expire on a date you set, so a board nobody has pruned in six months does not quietly become a list of filled positions.
Jobs & referrals — questions
If yours is not here, ask on a call. We answer specifics.
Can non-members see the jobs board?
Usually not, and that is often the point — a board visible only to members is a concrete membership benefit. You can make it public if you would rather use it for recruitment.
Do postings need approval?
You choose. Some organisations trust members to post directly; others route everything through a moderator first.
Can we bulk import roles from a partner?
Not through the interface today. If a partner supplies a feed, talk to us during onboarding.
See jobs & referrals against your own setup
Bring the awkward case — the exception your constitution requires, the thing your current system cannot do. That is the useful half of a demo.
